Here’s my review:
Comments on Jonny and Emily: Should you be on call 24/7 to pick up your spouse’s call?
It is great to have a cell phone so couple’s can be in touch; however, it is absurd to think anyone – I don’t care if it is your spouse or not – is available to you 24/7. If you call your spouse once – and they don’t pick up – why would you call back 1 minute later? If they couldn’t pick up when you first called, what makes you think they can pick up with the second call or third call, if it comes immediately following the first call? When you make a call – the receiver of the call knows you called – they will call you back when the can. Enough with the calling! Stop calling a million times in the course of five minutes.
Therefore, I totally disagree with The Marriage Ref’s call. Jonny needs to stop calling his wife incessantly; maybe then she will pick up his call. Imagine this case scenario. Jonny calls his wife – once – she doesn’t pick up and he doesn’t call again. I bet you anything, after 2 hours, Emily will call Jonny to see what he wants – or better yet, why he didn’t call again! See the reverse psychology here. This is similar to when someone yells – nobody listens to them. But when you whisper – everyone listens. Start whispering Jonny.
Comments on Laura and Bones: Should Laura dress more scantily, as Bones would like her to?
As a rule of thumb, I don’t think you should dress for anyone other than yourself. You should dress the way you like. Now, I am not saying it is inappropriate to dress in a manner that you know your spouse will like – but that is very different than having to dress in the manner or style your spouse dictates. Big difference.
I agree with The Marriage Ref’s call – The husband does not have the right to tell his wife how to dress.
Best line of the show this week: “In Miami, “stripper sheik” is the style.
