We have improved our numbers and are moving the needle at Extreme
On April 2017, on a flight to NY from SFO, I was fortunate to sit next to an amazing woman… Dr. Patty Ann Tublin. DPA (as I call her) is a highly educated consultant who (among other things) helps companies with their internal stats to promote women. After a very fun discussion… I got off the flight incredibly energized and introduced DPA to our CEO.
At the time I was also running HR… and of course I needed to get his buy-in in order to hire her. Our CEO met DPA in August of last year and in January of 2018 we hired her as a consultant and launched the “Extreme Women’s Leadership Council”.
Today our Women’s Leadership Council (which consists of mostly women but some men as well)… is responsible for looking at gender pay, promotion and advancement of women, putting together mentorship programs, etc. We have improved our numbers and are moving the needle at Extreme. All of this… because we hired the right person and got focused.
If any of you are interested in learning more about DPA and potentially hiring her for your company… you will love her!
